Simpson Studio Architects is seeking a cabinet maker to join its team in Edinburgh.

Simpson Studio is an award-winning design house offering architecture, interior design and bespoke furniture manufacture, with offices in London and Edinburgh. Established in 2013 the studio has a broad portfolio of projects, working on high-end residential and commercial architecture and interiors, as well as bespoke furniture design and production. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced cabinet maker to head up our workshop team.

We are looking for a passionate, highly motivated, and creative cabinet maker, who is hard working and has an excellent eye for detail.

The applicant must have the ability to manage all aspects of the furniture making process from machine work to finishing and assembly, all to a very high standard. This role is ideally suited to someone who likes to take responsibility for their work and enjoys working with fine details and producing a perfect product.

The ideal candidate will:

• be creative and have an eye for design

• have experience with a range of materials

• be confident using most hand tools and machines

• be confident in running and maintain a workshop

• be able to read drawings and plans

• enjoy collaborating with a design team

• have good time management

• be detail driven
