Monmouth Avenue is a detached Edwardian house, constructed around 1910, and located within the Topsham Conservation area in Devon.

Our clients wanted to create a bright and spacious family home, upgrading and modernising the existing dark and dated house.

We took the whole house back to brickwork and removed the old staircase and poorly constructed kitchen extension. We reconfigured the internal space and introduced a new bespoke staircase, double doors to the rear that open onto the garden, and new windows throughout to help maximise natural light.

During the design process, we carefully combined both traditional and contemporary styles in order to maintain the character and period features of the property, whilst still modernising the overall aesthetic.

View of a dark blue kitchen with pink steel support beam and cream walls. A bespoke staircase can be seen in the top right corner.
